We are looking at expanding our resources for middle school and high school aged youth. As we work through the process of coordinating group experiences for this age group, we are offering one-on-one mentoring and support, as well as opportunities for middle school and high school aged youth to work with the younger children. Biblical knowledge will be provided as these young adults work with the younger children, bolstering and supporting their own growth experience. Mentors will interact with the youth in developing their own faith while also working to develop group activities within this ministry.
As you are moved to work with this ministry, we encourage you to join us in this beautiful adventure of working with our youth.
There are many opportunities to support:
Confirmation Class
Middle School children will be taught the basis of faith and be encouraged to have a compassionate heart of service to the community. No experience needed if you wish to teach or participate as a mentor for our confirmands – training and materials provided.
Middle School
Middle-school aged children are encouraged in their spiritual journey and supported through the trials of adolescence. No experience needed if you wish to teach or participate in youth activities – training and materials provided.
Senior High/Young Adult
Young adults are guided into making their faith an active and integral part of their lives – incorporating it into decision-making and growth – youth are guided to develop an intimate and passionate relationship with our Savior.
If you would like more information on this ministry, please contact our Church Office and ask to speak to the Council Ministry leader, Mary Soliz.
Please join us on September 15, 2018 for a focused training session on creating a ministry environment that naturally grows “grit” in teenagers. This training will allow us an opportunity to build a foundation for Teens to lean on in a tough and often changing cultural environment and to find core strength in the heart of Jesus. See further information below and feel free to review the informational video. For further information, please contact the Church office and ask to speak to Teen Ministry Leader, Mary Soliz.
