Gospel Prayer of the Day
October 20, 2019
Luke 18:1-8
We invite you to join us in prayer as we ask God to move in our hearts so that we may respond to His word with our actions.
Dear Father, Savior, Spirit,
We thank you for bringing us together for this time of worship. We are grateful for those who are gathered around us – for the differences that make us unique and wonderful in your eyes – and for the shared joy we have in your grace. May all who enter here by embraced by a love that sees no boundaries or barriers but only brothers and sisters brought together to learn more of your presence in our lives.
We ask that you help us to grow in our desire and our ability to talk to you – to use prayer and meditation to bring forth our concerns, needs and remembrances. Help us to know that you do hear our call, that your voice does break through the static of this world and that you respond as our will guides. Help us to be faithful in all things and to listen to you with our whole hearts. Desiring always that intimate, loving relationship with you … our Father, our Mother, Our Savior, Our Spirit … our Guide through life’s journeys.
Bring forth those who seek to know you so that we may be your place of hope and love …
And, all God’s children say,
AMEN
