Let us pray,
We rejoice in the coming of your son, our savior, Jesus Christ. As we prepare for this celebration of our redemption from sin and death, help us to stay focused on the true gift of Christmas.
We are grateful for this time to worship and praise you and ask that, no matter where we are in our lives, that you remind us that we can be free of the chains of sin and darkness, that we can see a light through the darkness of turmoil and despair and rejoice together as a community of faith that there is perfect peace through the birth of your son.
As the angels called out on that first Christmas night, let us be bold in our proclamation of your grace; to lift our own voices to the sky so that all whom we encounter can hear of your love. Help us to stand firm in our faith though the world often turns its back on you.
May we have the fullness of peace in our hearts this advent season; rejoicing that your love is unfathomable. Keep us in perfect peace and truthful to the power of your love.
In your everlasting name, we pray.
And, all God’s children say,
